If you have more than one job at the time of your work related injury, your wages from all covered employments would be included in the calculation of your weekly benefit amount.
Only “on the books” jobs count. For example, a Wal-Mart employee who earns $500.00 per week and also has a part time job delivering auto parts on the weekends can add the second job’s earning into his or her average weekly wage. If he or she earns $200.00 per week on the weekends, that person’s average weekly wage would be $700.00. If he or she is 100% disabled from any and all forms of employment, the total disability rate would be $466.67 per week.
If the person’s second job is “off the books” they will not be eligible for concurrent employment benefits.
